Tips & Tricks to help prevent a dirty house and maintain a "Sparkling Clean" home!
Use the Right Kind & Lot's of Door Mats!
You need them both inside and outside of every entrance, they should be big and high quality (able to catch dirt easily). The outside ones especially should have the ability to trap the dirt; a large rubber one farther away from the door and a smaller one right outside the door works great. Go ahead and splurg on them, they're worth it! Have two or more on your porches, around sliding glass doors, and in the garage, some can be the thick heavy rubber with the wider slats, and some should be smaller bristled for right around the door. These rubber ones are great at the bottom of the stairs too as they can withstand the weather.
- make sure shoes are removed outside the door
- use your spare time to organize your house, this cuts down the time needed for us to clean your home, plus makes keeping it clean easier
- toys and clutter should be minimized, lots of drawers, shelves and cubbies work great
- line garbage cans with multiple bags, so when it is full and the bag is removed, a new one is already in place
- change furnace filters every 3 months or after a deep clean
